• Exceptional minyan start times.  Hashkama minyan this week will start at 6:20 due to Shabbat Rosh Hodesh.

• Combined Shvat/Adar/Nissan Jointly Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Shvat/Adar/Nissan JSK will be held next week on March 24th Parashat Tzav. To participate in the kiddush, please contact Judd Bogdansky (jbogdansky@gmail.com) no later than Sunday March 18th. Participation: 150 NIS per person memorialized. Judd confirms all emails he receives; if you do not hear back, please follow up.

• Draft minutes of the March 7th board meeting are available on the Member Documents section of our website (member login required).
• פרוטוקול (טיוטה) של ישיבת ההנהלה שהתקיימה ב-7 למרץ זמינים בעמוד המסמכים באתר האינטרנט שלנו (פרטי התחברות נדרשים).
• New policy for Misheberach for the sick. The gabbaim will no longer read out names from a list, but rather, will pause at the appropriate place in the prayer, and individuals can quietly recite the names they wish to include. With wishes for a רפואה שלימה.
• נוהל חדש לאמירת משברך לחולים. הגבאים לא יקראו יותר את שמות החולים, ובמקום זאת הם ימתינו כמה רגעים בעת אמירת המשברך וכל אחד יוכל לומר ביחידות את שמות החולים שברצונם לכלול בתפילה. בברכת רפואה שלמה לכל חולי עם ישראל.
• In preparation for the imminent printing of the membership directory, members are requested to review their details in the Draft PDF Directory available in the Member Documents section, and edit their entries in the Shulcloud directory, as required. Instructions appear here. The final draft will reflect these changes. Email directory@bermanshul.org if assistance is required. The printed listing will be viewable in the shul entrance foyer this shabbat.

• The Zedaka Committee wishes to remind those who have not yet sent their donations for Maot Hittim to do so as soon as possible. Last year we were able to help more than 300 families.  Please be generous and send your contributions in a timely manner, so we can reach out to people before the chag. Thanking you as always for your kindheartedness, we wish all our members a chag kasher v’sameach. • Chaya Tannor z"l memorial lecture. On April 9 (24 Nisan) at 20:00 we will have the first annual lecture in memory of our beloved member, Chaya Levmore Tannor z”l.  The speaker will be the well-known author and lecturer, Dr. Aviva Zornberg, on ‘And I am a Stranger:’ Becoming Ruth.  On that evening there will be a dedication of the renovated Beit Midrash in the back of the shul in Chaya’s memory.  
   
• Help needed- Geirim. Did you come to Israel to live in a Jewish state? If you want it to stay like this, come help with converts! You can choose how - A: We need 5 families to host participants in a Geirut course on occasional Shabbat/ holidays (no sleepovers needed). B: Come take part in a simulation of the Seder night which will take place on Wednesday 21.3 at 19:45 (all ages are welcome). Together we will show them what to do and how to sing during the reading of the Hagadah. (For those who are interested and can not come on this date we will have additional "model" seders). • מתגיירים. באתם לארץ כדי לגור במדינה יהודית? אם אתם רוצים שהיא תישאר כזו באו לעזור לגרים!  אתם יכולים לבחור איך - א: אנו זקוקים ל5 משפחות שיארחו גרים במהלך כמה שבתות וחגים ללא שינה. ב: לאנשים שירצו לקחת חלק בסימולציה של ליל סדר שיתקיים ביום רביעי ה 21.3 בשעה 19:45 (מתנדבים בכל גיל יתקבלו בברכה) יחד נראה להם מה עושים ואיך שרים במהלך קריאת ההגדה. • Dialogue project. The Berman Synagogue, along with secular and ultra-Orthodox partners from the city, invite the members of the Berman community to take part in a new project aimed at creating a dialogue between the various sectors. Each sector will elect several representatives who will meet several times, including a joint sabbatical (subsidized price). The goals are: to become acquainted with each other, create a dialogue, bridge the gaps and try to reach agreements. The subject that will be discussed as a test case is "Shabbat" and the disagreements about it. For more information please contact Ilana Friedlander 053-5706592 stevenf@netvision.net.il  
• בית כנסת ברמן יחד עם שותפים חילונים וחרדים מהעיר, מזמינים את אנשי קהילת ברמן לקחת חלק במיזם חדש שנועד ליצור שיח בין המגזרים השונים. מכל מגזר יבחרו כמה נציגים שיפגשו מספר פעמים, כולל שבתון משותף (במחיר מסובסד). המטרה להכיר, ליצור שיח ולגשר בין הפערים ולנסות להגיע להסכמות. הנושא שידון כמקרה מבחן הוא “השבת” והמחלוקות לגביו. לפרטים נוספים נא לפנות לאילנה פרידלנדר 053-5706592 stevenf@netvision.net.il
• Beit Midrash Nishmat  Chaya. There will be no shiurim in the Beit Midrash until after Pesach. The next shiur will take place on Tuesday 10th April when Rabbi Lindenbaum will give a shiur appropriate for Holocaust Memorial Day. There will not be a shiur on 17th April, erev Yom Hazikaron.
• בית מדרש נשמת חיה. לא יתקיימו שיעורים בבית המדרש עד אחרי פסח. השיעור הבא יהיה ביום כ"ה בניסן. נושא השיעור יהיה על השואה. לא יתקיים שיעור בערב יום הזכרון לחללי צה"ל
• Volunteers needed to give Divrei Torah for parshiot in Sefer Vayikra. Reserve now, while a wide choice of parshiot still remains. Please contact Mechael Kanovsky.
• מי שמעוניין לתת דבר תורה על פרשה בספר ויקרא מתבקש לפנות למיכאל קנובסקי. שריינו מקומות כבר עכשיו, כל עוד נשאר מבחר רחב של פרשיות.
• Torah readers needed for parshiot in Sefer Vayikra, Bamidbar, and Devarim. To volunteer, please contact Rami Shaanani for the main minyan (only Balak remains), or Moshe Appel for the Hashkama minyan. If anyone is planning a simcha at which they wish to read some or all of the parasha, please also notify Rami well in advance (though he can't promise to accommodate all requests).
