Bereavement and Memorial:

• We regret to announce the passing of Norma Flaks Barach z"l, sister of our member Chanie Goren. The funeral was held on Monday January 4th in Jerusalem. Chanie is sitting shiva at her sister's home at Even Shmuel 41, Ramot. Chanie's phone number is 052-445-3997. המקום ינחם אותה בתוך שאר אבלי ציון וירושלים 

SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS​

• The 2016 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bermans membership will be held on Motzai Shabbat Bo, January 16, 2016 at 20:00. We are [still] looking for some new talent to join the Board. If you are interested in joining the Board or know someone who is, please contact one of the members of the Nominating Committee: Ian Taylor, Eliot Dobin or Aviva Spotts.
   
• Materials for the AGM, including non-audited financial report and budget, and the audit committee report are available in the documents section of our website (members only). A flier prepared by the Board summarizing some of the shul's accomplishments this past year "Bermans shul in numbers" is available on the Noticeboard.
   
• Help provided and needed. If there is an immediate family member who is very ill or in the hospital, and you need help with meals, please contact Ayala Meisels at ayala.meisels@gmail.com. We ask members to respond and sign themselves up when meal requests are publicized. 
   
• The topic of Eitan Ronen's Tuesday night shiur (20:30-21:15) this coming week will be "Women and Havdala". Please check the live calendar for weekly updates.
   
• Torah readers needed for Sefer Vayikra. To volunteer, please contact Rami Shanani. And a request from Rami: The list of Tora readers is hanging on the bulletin board at the entrance to the shul. To prevent misunderstandings or scheduling glitches, anyone who is slated to read should confirm by checking the list that they are correctly assigned, and anyone who is planning a simcha at which a family member would like to read, is asked to book their event as early as possible by contacting Jerry Kriger.
• נפתחה ההרשמה לבעלי קריאה לספר ויקרא. נא לפנות לרמי שאנני. בקשה אישית שלי: רשימת בעלי הקריאה תלויה על הלוח בכניסה לבית הכנסת בין השאר על מנת למנוע אי נעימויות. אני מבקש מכולם לעיין ברשימה לפחות פעם אחת בשלשה חודשים ולפנות אלי בכל מקרה שמתעוררת בעיה או שאלה. כל מי שמתכנן לקיים שמחה בר מצוה , חתונה... במהלך השנה הקרובה בבית הכנסת מתבקש לפנות ולתאם זאת עם ג'רי קריגר כמה שיותר מוקדם. רמי.

• Shvat Jointly Sponsored Yahrtzeit Kiddush. The Shvat Yahrtzeit JSK will be held on Shabbat, Parshat Beshalach (23.1.2016). To participate in this kiddush, please contact Rachel Schecter no later than Friday, January 15th. Participation: 150 NIS.

HOSPITALITY and CHESED

• Our member Harry Langbeheim has been hospitalized in Tel Hashomer for the last two weeks, for what is expected to be an extended stay. The family would appreciate help with meals, for shabbat only, for the 2-3 family members who stay over to be with him each shabbat.
