SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS​​​

• Moonlight Tiyul to Nahal Chavarim. A moonlight tiyul to Nahal Chavarim will be held on the night of Tu b’Av, July 30th, 2015, leaving Rehovot at 17:30 and returning at around 2:00 a.m.  The tiyul is suitable for all ages.  Registration no later than June 25th.  For full details, please see the Noticeboard.
• טיול לאור הירח לנחל חוורים. טיול לילי לאור הירח לנחל חוורים יתקיים בליל ט"ו באב, 30 ביולי 2015.  היציאה מרחובות ב-17:30 וחזרה בערך ב-2:00 לפנות בוקר.  הטיול מתאים לכל הגילאים.  ההרשמה לא יאוחר מה-25.6.2015.  פרטים נוספים בלוח מודעות. 
   
• Help wanted: The Shul is looking for a Kiddush Manager (paying job). Must have access to a car and be flexible to work as necessary during the week and on Fridays. This position is open to all ages, from after the army and up. Good organizational skills and thick skin are required. For further details, please call Rachel Schecter (054-7613892).

• On June 19, at 11:00, the Hadarei Ron Choir of Rehovot will be performing in the final concert of the season in the series of (free) Friday morning concerts in the new Beit Ha’Am, sponsored by the Rehovot Municipality. The repertoire will consist of a body of Tehilim and ni’gunim set to original music, all composed by the choir’s conductor, Avi Faintoch. Open this link for details and information, or contact Bea Kriger.

• The fourth lecture in the series on King David organized by Psifas will be on Tuesday, 23.6 at 20:00 at Havayot Schweitz. The speaker is the noted author Haim Beer who will speak (in Hebrew) on “David and Michal: Their relationship as reflected in modern Hebrew literature”. 10 NIS admission.
• ההרצאה הרביעית והאחרונה בסדרה על דוד המלך בחסות פסיפס תתקיים ביום ג', 23.6 ב-20:00 בחוויות שוויץ. המרצה הוא הסופר חיים באר שידבר על "דוד ומיכל: השתקפות יחסיהם בשירה העברית החדשה".  דמי כניסה 10 ₪.
   
• "Razei Shalhevet" (The Secrets of Shalheveth), a movie by our members Gerry Tanny (Director & Screenplay), Yacov Steinmetz (Cameraman), and Sharon Kanon (Research), is being shown this month on Channel 98 (Hot or Yes) on Sundays at 11:30am and Thursdays at 7:00pm. The movie is a biography of the life of Shalheveth Freier, a spy, diplomat, Chairman of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission, and founder of Kiryat Weizmann, the first science based park in Israel and the model for Startup Nation.
   
• The Golan is especially beautiful now.
