Births:

• Mazal Tov to Miki and Neal Hauser on the birth of a grandson (12th grandchild!), Golan Shahar to their children Yonina and Shlomo Kfir of Sansana. Mazal Tov to grandparents Rabbi Yossie and Rena Kfir of Mercaz Shapiro, big brother and sisters, and to the entire family.

Bereavement and Memorial:

• The azkara and shloshim for Renee Grunebaum z'l will take place on Monday May 25th (7 Sivan) at 18:00 at the Rehovot cemetery, to be followed by Mincha, reminiscences, and light refreshments at Bermans at 19:20. 
• במלאת שלושים לפטירתה של אשתי אמנו אחותינו וסבתינו היקרה, רנה רחל גרונבאום ז'ל נעלה לקברה לאזכרה וגילוי מצבה ביום שני ז' בסיון בשעה 18:00 בבית העלמין ברחובות. לאחר מכן בשעה 19:20 נפגש בביה'כ ע'ש יעקב ברמן לתפילת מנחה כיבוד קל ודברים לזכרה. המשפחה.  

SHUL ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND REMINDERS​​​

• The schedule of lectures for tikun leil shavuaot (newly updated) may be found on the Noticeboard. A wonderful lineup of speakers is  scheduled for adults, youth, and kids from 2nd grade. In addition, we need a few good men or women to help in setting up and maintaining the cookies, drinks, and cups etc. during the night of Shavuot. If you can help,  please contact Rachel Shechter or Mechael Kanovsky. The refreshments were donated by Fred Samuels in memory of his sister Chana Peril bat Nisan on her 32nd yahrzeit.
   
• Special Lecture Co-sponsored by Bermans shul and AMIT, Tuesday, May 26th, 2015. An exclusive English-speaking event with Rachelli Sprecher Fraenkel, Teacher of Talmud and Halacha, Nishmat & Matan, Mother of Naftali Fraenkel HI'D.  "ושמחתם בכל הטוב"  On Gratitude and Perspective. Suggested admission: NIS 25; students & soldiers: NIS 15. Open to the entire community. Details on the Noticeboard. 
   
• There will be a membership meeting on June 7th at 20:15 for the membership to approve the audited financial statements for 2014 and the do’ach miluli for 2014 as required by the Rasham Haamutot. The documents are available in the Member Documents section of the website (under subheading "2014 Financial Documents").
   
• As part of the new Minneapolis-Rehovot Partnership, we are exploring the twinning of Bermans with the Darchei Noam shul of Minneapolis http://darcheinoammn.org/.  Darchei Noam is a modern orthodox shul that is very similar to Bermans in terms of its openness and tolerance and very connected to Israel: seven of their children have made aliyah or are currently serving in Tzahal. If you are interested in exploring possible common projects with Darchei Noam please contact David Tannor, david.tannor@weizmann.ac.il.

Lost and found:

• Double tallit trouble. In two separate incidents (after Musaf and after the d'var Tora), gentlemen using the men's room came out to find a tallit waiting that was not theirs. If you are the flip side of either of these switches, please contact Jerry Kriger.
